Eliana Schenk, Oboe

Eliana Schenk, is a professional oboist, private teacher, woodwind coach, and reedmaker in the Washington, DC area. She has appeared as a soloist with the Orchestra at Montgomery College and The Symphonette at Landon.  Eliana has performed with ensembles such as the Manassas Ballet Theatre Orchestra, Maryland Lyric Opera, Apollo Orchestra, Arlington Philharmonic, Castleton Festival Orchestra, and is currently the principal oboe of the Avanti Orchestra.  Her students have participated in MCYO, PVYO, and DCYOP.  She attended Oberlin Conservatory (B.M.) and The Catholic University of America (M.M). Her former teachers include Nicholas Stovall, Robert Walters, Jonathan Blumenfeld, Alex Klein and Carol Stephenson.
